Sources close to the Kaththi team say that nearly 50 percent of the film has been shot till now. The shooting of Kaththi began early this year and has been progressing in various places including Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Director AR Murugadoss is shooting in Chennai right now and the team will be moving over to Hyderabad shortly. Anirudh has composed tunes for four songs already and we hear that the Ilayathalapathy may render his voice for yet another song in this album. Kaththi, starring Vijay and Samantha as the lead pair, is slated for release this Diwali
